GUADO SAN LEO is the first wine of our company obtained exclusively from NERO DI TROIA grapes and has contributed together with other Apulian wines to the rebirth of this important vine. The grapes, coming from our “Coppanetta” estate, are harvested by hand in 15 kg boxes before being sent for vinification. with scrupulous selection.

Characteristics of the vineyard: extension of 1.5 hectares. Planted in 1973 with a density of 1,800 plants / Ha. “Apulian tent” training system
Soil: calcareous-clayey.
Yield per hectare: 60 quintals
Vinification and aging: After a maceration of about 15 days with frequent pumping over and delestages, the wine is aged in new Alliers oak barriques for at least 12 months.
