    • In ancient time SAN SEVERO was called “Castrum Dionis” according to the legend that DIOMEDE, having married Driona, king Dauno’s daughter, had a small temple built on a hill called DRION. In that place, San Severo was built.

    • Production area: “Cotinone” estate – San Severo countryside
    • Vineyards: 3 Ha. planted in 2003 with a density of 3.000 vines/Ha.
    • Training system: guyot
    • Soil: clay, sand and limestone
    • Yield: 80 q.li/Ha
    • Winemaking and ageing: The must, after a long contact with the skins, is kept in oak barrels already used, for about six months, after is aged in bottle for 3 months
